MERGING TRAFFIC

The folowing quotes are taken from the popular party planning guide By Recommendation Only written by Johanna Kaestner. Whatever the age or musical preference, Merging Traffic can unify the party by getting everyone involved. The band's drummer calls Richard a "party psychologist" because he reads the crowd so well. One of the ways they keep people dancing is by playing continuous music, mixing one song into the next. .. A well-known photographer in our guide had this to say about the band, "Being in the event biz, I always know it will be a great party when I hear Merging Traffic will be there.

Here are some unsolicited written comments from Merging Traffic's thrilled customers.

Dear Rich and Maureen,

Wow...It all started in 1986 when you first played at Amy's Bat Mitzvah, then in 1989 at Danny's Bar Mitzvah, Danny and Brittany's wedding last March and finally at Amy and Aron's wedding this past weekend. We can't thank you enough for "Always" making our special events so special with your charm, wonderful music and making parties the best. You have that certain knack for always getting everyone up and dancing in spite of the weather. Who would have ever imagined that it would have been the hottest day of the year for Amy and Aron's wedding! That certainly didn't stop people from getting up to dance. The comments that we've been getting all week is that Merging Traffic certainly came through once again with flying colors and we truly feel you are the best band in the bay area!

Amy and Aron, more than anything, wanted everyone to have fun at their wedding. Their dream came true, and we know that they will always treasure their wedding day for a lifetime with wonderful memories that you helped to create for them. You and your band are truly artists. We continue to look forward to passing your name around to family and friends so that they too can have memories to last them a lifetime.

With Heartfelt thanks and appreciation,

Donna and Phil Feitelberg

Dear Rich: Merging Traffic,

Thank you so much for providing the wonderful music at our wedding. I was amazed at how many people were on the dance floor until the very end and I know the crowd enjoyed the music. thanks for doing such a great job keeping everyone involved and having fun. It was by far the best day of my life and I had so much fun on the dance floor. Merging Traffic received great reviews from our friends, as well, and I know many people wanted the party to go on. Thanks for learning the Greek songs, too. It was a very special moment for me to dance "Sirtaki" with my Dad!

Thanks again,

Dear Rich,

I wanted to convey our most sincere appreciation for the great evening of music provided by Merging Traffic for our daughter's wedding dinner-dance at the Lafayettte Park Hotel on September 24, 2005. The USC "fanfare" for the entry of the bridal party was over the top! I can't imagine how it could have been any better.

Please convey our appreciation to each member of the group-each of them obviously very talented and very special performers. The crowd seemed to be energized by your great program and danced to the end. There were many favorable comments about the music by the guests (young and old). Also, a personal accolade is due to you, Rich, in representing your group with great efficiency and effectiveness. Your attention to detail, earnest efforts to fulfill our "plan", and rapid response to our many communications was truly admirable.

There is little doubt that Merging Traffic was the best possible group for our celebration, and you made it a memorable evening for all who attended. I only wish we had a recording of the entire program. Many thanks!

Regards,

Bob and Linda Sada

Dear Rich & Maureen,

We wanted to thank you for making our wedding such a special experience! From playing "Rubber Ducky" when we walked into the reception, through the long and enthusiastic Jewish music medley, we hardly stopped moving - and neither did our guests!.

We very much appreciated your willingness to accomodate our special requests, including those of Juliette's father, with his eclectic jazz preferences and the setting up of the microphones/speakers throughout our celebration. We have heard many times from our firends and family that our wedding was among their favorites, and we are sure that Merging Traffic's ability to appeal to all age ranges by playing a wide range of music, including Top Forty, Swing, Modern Rock, Motown and Disco contributed to their fond memories.

Every time we watch our wedding video, we are reminded of how much fun we dad. We would heartily recommend (and have so recommended) Merging Traffic to our friends.

Most sincerely yours,

Juliette and Jeffrey Goldman

Dear Rich and Maureen,

I know from viewing your impressive portfolio that receiving letters of gratitude is nothing new to you Merging Traffic. However, after the wonderful performance you all gave at our October 11th wedding, I could not help myself in adding my own note to your large collection.

Andrew and I are absolutely thrilled with Merging Traffic. Rich you were excellent as our Master of Ceremonies, and Maureen, you have a beautiful voice. The other members of the band possess obvious talent in their areas of expertise as well. You were also flexible in adapting to our somehwat unusual venue and accommodating in allowing our special "guest musicians" to sit in with you toward the end of the evening. Your presetation of "Fly Me To The Moon" for our first dance was perfect for us.

I'd particularly like to thank you for the extra time you spent working with my mother in preparing for her performance. What a lucky couple we are to be so beautifully serenaded by the mother of the bride! We are so grateful for your part in making her arrangement such a success.

Although you came highly recommended, you nonetheless managed to exceed our expectations and played a key role in making our wedding everything that we dreamed it would be.

Sincerely,

Andrew and Erika

Hi Rich and Maureen,

How are you? Gerry and I are great and really enjoying getting settled and having our day-to-day lives back again. We had such an incredible time at our wedding and it was truly a special day for us. We can't thank you enough for being so terrific! We mean that. You music and band was fabulous! You are such a class act, professional, balanced, and you sincerely have a special feel about your group. Your variety in your song list was something that Gerry and I had never seen, and it made our evening really great. It was nice that we had some Sinatra as well as music that really cooked. The Italian numbers were an absolute hit! Not only to our immediate families, but it was a real neat way for our guest to get involved and feel included in the party and excitement. Lastly, I wanted to say how much we appreciate the ease and flexibility we felt when working with you. You weren't pushy, you had great suggestions, and you were very conscientious to the unique dynamic of our family. Thank you so, so much, and please feel free to have anyone call us if they are interested in getting suggestions, or feedback on how great you all were. Many thanks!

Salute!

Dear Maureen and Rich,

Thank you very much for the beautiful music you provided on July 15th for Nancy and Devin's wedding ceremony and reception. Since this was our third daughter's wedding and you have provided music for all three, there was no doubt in our mind that the day would be terrific. You not only met, but exceeded our expectations.

In addition to enjoying your music, I want to take this opportunity to express our appreciation for your professionalism, enthusiasm, flexibility, guidance and sense of humour. An additional "thank you" to Maureen for coordinating the procession. You all are an absolute pleasure to work with and our guests haven't stopped raving about your wonderful music.

Although we have run out of daughters to "marry off", I know that we can look forward to other family events and celebrations. We wouldn't think of calling upon anyone other than Merging Traffic. You are wonderful, and we thank you again!

Most sincerely,

Rhoda and Carl

Dear Rich, Maureen and the band,

We can't thank you enough for playing at our wedding! The compliments just keep rolling in - expecially about your rendition of our theme song, "Sugar, Sugar! Seriously, we loved your rendition of "At Last" and in general, your selection of songs was exactly what we wanted. Just the right energy - though several people have remarked that we had the longest hora in history! We really enjoyed working with you and would be thrilled to provide a reference for you anytime. We are enclosing our wedding favor for you "listening pleasure". Enjoy it in good health.

All our best,

Peggy and Eric

Dear Rich, Maureen and Band -

You're the greatest! Thanks for making Dana and Lee's wedding such a joyous celebration. We know you went the extra mile to learn some new music for the occasion, and your efforts are greatly appreciated. Some of your renditions sounded better than the original. With Maureen's great voice and wonderful musicians you made us want to dance all night. If only the winery would allow it.

Thanks for being with us and helping create a most memorable evening.

Shelly and Steve

Dear Mr. Santi

This letter is long overdue but well deserved. Merging Traffic played at our wedding reception on June 8 at the Crocker Mansion in Hillsborough, and we want you to know how extremely pleased we are with your performance.

We contracted with Merging Traffic months earlier without having heard the band play; we merely relied on friends' and other vendors' recommendations. As "the date" approached, we continued to hear more good things about Merging Traffic, and we felt completely confident that we had chosen a terrific band.

Our confidence was well founded. The band played the audience as well it played music. We asked you to play several songs that were not listed already in your repertoire, and you did. We gave you free reign to mix music styles so you could keep the celebration going, and you did. No one had to keep tabs on the band in case instructions were needed; that fact did not go unnoticed. Nor did the fact that you played straight through the reception without any breaks.

Everyone remarked afterwards what a great band Merging Traffic is. The compliment was well deserved. Merging Traffic was remarkable. We feel that we could not have had a better band to play at our wedding reception, and we thought you should know.

Sincerely,

David and Kristina

P.S. My brother got married a few months before me in New Jersey, and he had boasted incessantly about what a great band he got. I derive a great deal of childish pleasure in knowing that "my" band was better. - David

Dear Maureen and Rich,

We can not thank you enough for your fabulous performance at our wedding last month. The excitement of the party could not have gotten off to a better start than with the incredible enthusiasm and frenzy of the Jewsih dancing. The duration and tempo that you and Merging Traffic maintained was perfect. Once you had taken us through that set, the fabulous tone of the evening was on.

We were a little concerned after dinner when the toasts and speeches dragged deeper into the evening than we had expected that there would not be enough time for the guests to dance. But once the speeches ended, Merging Traffic really came through, keeping virtually everyone who was going to dance on their feet until the end of the party. You expertly managed to squeeze the fun and excitement of the 2 1/2 hours we had allotted for dancing into the final ninety minutes that we wound up with. We had told you ahead of time that our guests liked to dance, and you did a fantastic job of keeping the heady mood and exitement going to the very end.

Your rendition of our final song made that moment almost surreal. The memories of slowly twirling while surrounded by all our family and friends will stay with us always. Ane then, you guys cranked it up one last time. Everyone agreed that ending the affair with a last round of Jewish dancing, a blur of happy, familiar faces whizzing around, was the perfect closing. When the music finally ceased, we felt like never letting go of the family and friends we were huddling with, everyone trying to catch thier breath and basking in each others' warmth and happiness.

From start to finish, you were flawless. It is not possible to adequately thank you for helping make the most important night of our lives so special and memorable. We will always carry with us the memories of that tremendous occasion that you and Merging Traffic helped make possible.

Dear Maureen and Richard,

We want to thank you for contributing to our joyous wedding day, You truly made our wedding day a success! We waited to only a week before our wedding to give you a general list of the music we like. You played most of our favorites and kept the music varied so that people were dancing the entire evening. Your beautiful playing was a delight to listen and dance and your enthusiasm rubbed off on everyone.

Thank you,

Nancy and Ari

Dear Friends,

It is over two weeks since our 50th anniversary party and we still haven't gotten down to earth . There were 112 guests and all of them haven't stopped raving about the event. The music, food, decor, our excitement, our family; everything together make this an event that will not be forgotten.

When we first met, and you requested that we inform you of the music we would like to have, Alice and I were both hopeful that you would be able to include at least a few of them during the evening. They were from the early forties (and world war II) era.

When you came that evening, and my niece, Cindy, recognized you as the group that played for her sons bar mitzvah five years ago, I really began to worry. How could the same group, who gave a great party for 13 year olds, be able to play 50 year old music for 70+ year olds.

All of you were beyond expectations; my daughters mentioned how great it was to hear (and see) our friends singing and dancing along with the old songs. And of course the eighties music fit it well. (Gloria, et al) "Celebration" with my family all dancing together was another high. We had many requests for the name of your group. My only regret (kidding of course) was that I was so busy being a good host with Alice, we couldn't get the full benefit of dancing all the time to your great music.

You all were great, and if you ever need a reference, we will be happy to talk to your potential customers.

Please save the Saturday night closest to May 3, 2008 for our 60th. We will reconfirm the later, of course.

Our best and thank you,

Carl

Dear Rich, Maureen and members of the band,

Bill and I would like to thank you for doing such a spectacular job at our daughter's wedding on Sunday. The pace and variety of music was terrific (although the hora nearly did me in). Many of our guests commented on how great the music was, and even people who usually don't dance were up on the dance floor. Thank you, also, for keeping the volume down; a numbers of guests commented on how nice it was not to have to shout across the table. We did forget to have Shoshana toss here bouquet, but I think everybody was having such a great time that they did not even notice. I am enclosing a check to cover the additional time that you played. Many thanks for helping make the day so special.

Sincerely,

Karen

Dear Rich and Maureen,

Thank you so much for helping to make Katie and Sam's wedding day so special with your wonderful music form start to finish. We've had many friends compliment you and your band. The dance floor was busy all night and Merging Traffic made that happen. The music during the ceremony was wonderful. The cocktail party and dinner background music was just what we wanted. I particularly loved the chair dance followed by the Irish jig!! Too much fun!!

Thank you for meeting with Susan and helping her with the solo music. You and Maureen were delightful to work with and although we hope to be finished with weddings for a while, we won't hesitate to call on you for some special occasion in the future.

Most Sincerely,

Harvey and Connie
